Terms of Service
Last updated November 1, 2026
The short version
- Kairo helps you plan trips. It isn’t a travel agent: bookings are between you and the airline, hotel or tour company.
- Itineraries are written with AI. Check opening hours, prices, entry rules and safety before you rely on them.
- Your trips and profile are yours. If you share a trip, you’re responsible for what’s in it, and others may copy the plan.
- Use Kairo fairly: no scraping, abuse, spam or getting around limits.
- You need to be 16 or older. Kairo is provided as is, and these terms are governed by California law.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Shashwat Koranne, who operates Kairo (“Kairo”, “we”, “us”). By using Kairo you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You sign in with your own Google account, and you’re responsible for what happens under it.
- One account per person. Don’t share it or create extra accounts to get around limits.
3. What Kairo is
Kairo helps you research destinations, build itineraries, find flights, stays and things to do, and keep your trip in one place. We are not a travel agent, airline, hotel or tour operator. We don’t sell travel, take payments for bookings, or act on your behalf with travel companies.
4. AI-generated plans
Itineraries, suggestions and travel information are generated with AI from many sources, and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Opening hours, prices, travel times, weather and availability change.
Check anything important with an official source before you rely on it, especially visa and entry requirements, health and safety advice, accessibility, and anything to do with children. Kairo isn’t legal, immigration, medical or safety advice. You decide where you go and what you do.
5. Bookings and partners
When you follow a link to Google Flights, Booking.com, Viator or another partner, you book directly with that company under its terms. Prices, availability, cancellations, refunds and the travel itself are between you and them. Prices we show are estimates and may differ from what the partner charges.
Some links are affiliate links, so we may earn a commission when you book. It doesn’t change your price, and it doesn’t decide what we recommend.
6. Your content
You own what you add to Kairo: your profile, notes, trips and messages. You give us permission to store, process and display it to run the service for you, including sending it to the AI service that writes your itineraries.
Places that appear in itineraries join a shared library used to plan trips for everyone, without anything that identifies you. You agree we can keep and use that library. You’re responsible for what you add, such as links on your profile, and it must not break the law or anyone’s rights.
Sharing. When you share a trip or show the places you loved, you let us display them to the people you chose, and you let anyone who sees a shared trip copy its plan into a trip of their own, to use for their personal travel. Copies already made stay with the people who made them. Shared pages show only what our Privacy Policy describes. Read what you share before you share it: the day-by-day plan includes anything you’ve written into it.
We may remove a shared page, or stop an account from sharing, if it breaks these terms or someone reports it and we agree it’s a problem. Anyone can report a shared trip or profile with the link at the bottom of the page.
7. Fair use
Please don’t:
- Use Kairo for anything illegal, harmful or misleading.
- Scrape, copy or bulk-download the service or its content, or access it with bots or scripts.
- Get around usage limits, security or access controls, or interfere with how the service runs.
- Reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product or train AI models.
- Impersonate someone, or upload content you don’t have the right to share.
- Share anyone else’s private information, or use shared trips, profiles or usernames for spam, ads or harassment.
- Pick a username that pretends to be someone else, or Kairo.
Kairo is free to use today. To keep it that way, we limit how many itineraries and AI requests each account can make, and we may change those limits.
8. Our content
The Kairo name, logo, design and software belong to us. Maps, photos and information from others (such as Google Maps, Wikipedia and OpenStreetMap) belong to them and are shown under their terms and licences. You may use Kairo for your own personal travel planning; nothing in these terms gives you any other rights to it.
9. Changes and ending
We’re always improving Kairo, so features may change, be limited or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable.
You can stop using Kairo at any time and delete your account in your profile settings, or ask us to at [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to download your information.
10. Disclaimers
Kairo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we aren’t responsible for travel partners, their services, or events during your trip.
11. Limit on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost bookings, missed connections, travel costs or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about Kairo is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.
Some places don’t allow these limits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Responsibility for misuse
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because of your content or because you broke these terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.
If you use Kairo as a consumer outside the United States, you keep the protections of your local consumer law and may bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows. If you have a concern, please email [email protected] first; most things can be sorted out quickly.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Kairo after that, the new terms apply. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
